As a Painter Helper, you will assist professional painters in preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and completing various tasks to ensure high-quality painting projects. Your role involves supporting painters by organizing materials, preparing work areas, and executing preliminary tasks to facilitate a smooth painting process. Your attention to detail and willingness to learn will contribute to the successful completion of painting assignments.

Painter Helper Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare painting materials, including brushes, rollers, paint, and other necessary equipment.
• Assist in preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers or sealers as directed.
• Protect surrounding areas and furniture from paint splatter or damage using drop cloths, tape, or other protective materials.
• Mix paints and coatings according to specifications provided by the painter or supervisor.
• Support painters in applying paint or coatings to surfaces using appropriate techniques and tools.
• Clean and maintain painting equipment, ensuring proper functionality and longevity.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with the painting team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and according to project timelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead painter.

Painter Helper Job Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role or willingness to learn on the job.
• Basic knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials is advantageous.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
