Cleaner & Tea Boy Job Description:
The Cleaner & Tea Boy is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the designated work areas and providing tea or refreshments to staff members. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring a clean, organized, and comfortable work environment for all employees.
Cleaner & Tea Boy Job Responsibilities:
Cleaning Duties:
Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, and other common areas.

Empty trash bins and ensure proper disposal of waste.
Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies.
Tea Boy Duties:
Prepare and serve tea, coffee, or refreshments to staff members during designated break times.
Keep track of inventory for pantry supplies and submit requisitions for restocking.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the pantry or designated refreshment area.
Ensure that kitchen appliances, such as coffee machines and kettles, are in working order.
Work Area Maintenance:
Arrange and organize workspaces to maintain a tidy and orderly appearance.
Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed to the supervisor promptly.
Assist in the setup and cleanup of meeting rooms or event spaces as required.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding any specific cleaning or maintenance needs.
Respond courteously to staff requests for tea or refreshments.
Health and Safety:
Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while performing cleaning tasks.
Ensure the proper use of cleaning agents and equipment to maintain a safe working environment.
Time Management:
Manage time efficiently to complete cleaning tasks within designated time frames.
Coordinate tea and refreshment services with scheduled break times.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and lift/move supplies as needed.
Working Conditions:
This role involves standing, walking, and performing physical activities for an extended period.
