Malaysian visa holders are only permitted to travel to Malaysia and are subject to border inspection upon arrival. This means that the visa does not fully guarantee that you will be able to stay in Malaysia for any reason. It is the immigration officer at the point of entry who decides whether or not you are allowed to enter Malaysia.

WHEN SHOULD I APPLY FOR A MALAYSIAN VISA?

WHO CAN SUBMIT A MALAYSIAN VISA APPLICATION ONLINE?
Malaysian authorities offer certain foreign nationals the opportunity to apply for a visa online using the Malaysia e-Visa. If your Malaysia e-visa application is approved, you will receive the application online and will need to print it out. It will not be placed as a sticker on your passport. You can apply for a Malaysian visa online only if you are a national of the following countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan China, India, Montenegro, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Serbia, & Sri-Lanka. To apply for a Malaysian visa, you need to follow these simple steps:

- Download the application form.
- Complete the document file.
- Submit your application along with your documents.
- Wait for processing.

You need to check if your country has a Malaysian embassy or visa application center, or find the center nearest you. Download application form. Before, submitting your Malaysian visa application, you need to download the Malaysian visa application form from the Malaysian Immigration Department’s website and fill it out electronically. Once you have completed your application, you will need to print and sign two copies.

Malaysian visa processing times vary depending on the country you live in, how you apply, when you apply, and whether you have all the required documents.
If you apply online (eVisa), the process will take less than 100 hours. Four days. If you apply through eNTRI, your visa will be processed within 48-72 hours. If you submit your request manually, processing time will vary depending on the entity processing your request. Nevertheless, in most cases, the Malaysian visa will be processed within 7-8 business days.
HOW CAN I EXTEND MY SINGLE ENTRY VISA IN MALAYSIA?
Single entry visa to Malaysia is only valid for a maximum of 30 days and cannot be extended. Social tour passes are also not accepted. If you wish to stay in Malaysia beyond the period for which your passport was issued, you will need to leave the country and apply for the relevant Malaysian visa/passport. However, extension of social visit passes is only possible in exceptional cases and after consideration on a case-by-case basis. For example, you may be eligible for an extension of your social visit pass if you become ill, have an accident, or if circumstances in your home country (such as war) could put you at risk when you return home.
